Admissions

Admissions to the Master's program in General Communication is only on a College of Graduate Studies regular admission basis, and all admission requirements must be satisfied before a student can receive advisement and enroll in any graduate Communication classes.

A non-refundable, one-time application fee of $25.00 is required for all new applicants.

Admission requirements:

• official undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts from all colleges and universities attended must be issued directly to APSU, show a Bachelor's degree has been earned and the cumulative grade point average (GPA) attained. A minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA for all college coursework attempted is required for admission.

•official scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) [only for the verbal and quantitative tests] must be received directly from GRE to APSU. The APSU code for the GRE is 1028.

•three letters of recommendation from former college/university professors or from individuals who have served as the applicant's communication or theatre industry supervisors. These letters must verify that in the writer's opinion the applicant is prepared to successfully undertake graduate study in the area of general communication at APSU.
